Electrical Preventative Maintenance

This is an opportunity of a lifetime to be able to provide Electrical Preventative Maintenance (EPM) to commercial and industrial properties. Using Infrared, Ultrasonic and checking power quality, this testing can be invaluable in finding potential problems in an electrical distribution system. Finding problems will save money by minimizing downtime and will keep the building safe from electrical fires. Loose electrical connections also cause heat and heat is wattage which in turn will cost money. EPM should only be done by qualified electricain / technicians that are also at least level one thermographers. These technicians should have continuing education on a yearly basis to keep them current on testing and provide them with higher levels of certification. By using qualified personel they will be able to access the electrical panels in a safe and professional manner. They can also make minor repairs and if there are any electrical problems they will be able to provide viable solutions.

Along with finding problems, it is important that documenation is provided to show the entire electrical distribution system on a computer. This documentation should also provide the customer with all the problems that were encountered and recomendations on what needs to be done to repair the condition. This documenation should also provide all the power quality readings on tested components that show the THDV and THDC along with power factor and document any voltage imbalances.

This service is available with TEGG testing, and can be researched on www.tegg.com

A good EPM program will pay for itself. Failure is not an option!
